There are many sources of free practice exam questions on the web, most sets we have seen are out of date and simplistic. To help overcome this problem, we have developed these sets of free exam questions to give you an idea of the level of skill needed to pass the current PMI PMP or CAPM examination. The questions are drawn from on the PMBOK® Guide 4th Edition and the current PMP or CAPM Exam specification. Based on quality feedback from our trainees, we believe the level of difficulty is consistent with the level of difficulty encountered in the examinations*.

* Note: PMI hold a bank of many hundred questions for their examinations and update the question bank on a regular basis. Everyones examination is uniquely constructed from the questions available to PMI and the actual questions are a closely guarded secret. Our assessment of the style of question and level of difficulty is based on QA feedback from trainees, rather than specific information on any individual question or questions.

Notes:

The questions are set up in an Excel spreadsheet, we recommend saving the spreadsheet to your PC before attempting the questions.
After you have answered the questions, there is a link at the bottom of the last page to download the answers.
PMP candidates: You need 19 correct answers to 'pass' (61% of 30 = 18.3), however, we would recommend a safety margin of at least 10% to be comfortable, say 22 correct.
CAPM candidates: You need 17 correct answers to 'pass' (65% of 25 = 16.25), however, we would recommend a safety margin of at least 10% to be comfortable, say 19 correct.
