On Site Support (Project Management Software)



Mosaic offers on-site software training and support focusing on the implementation of practices and procedures to optimise the way the project management software is used as a tool to assist in developing effective schedules to plan and control time, resources and costs on your project(s).

Our consultants work with the project team members (or project office staff) to build, monitor and report on ‘live’ project schedules. Mosaic’s consultancy has two key objectives:

Mosaic’s involvement on-site is designed to taper off as in-house skills and confidence build, our overall commitment is planned to meet the specific requirements of an organisation and adjusted based on actual experience. Mosaic’s on-site support can be augmented with both formal software training courses and project management training courses (including PMP, CAPM, Stakeholder Circle™, OPM3, 5-STEPS and/or Earned Value).

Typically, our consultant will have a fairly intense involvement with the team at the beginning of the process (ranging up to a full time commitment). Once the overall system and procedures are established to the satisfaction of the host organisation, visits are scaled back as in-house skills are developed. Eventually, all that is needed to maintain skills and schedule quality is an occasional visit for an overall ‘health-check’ (typically scheduled at two or three monthly intervals) and the occasional telephone support to assist with a specific problem.

The on-going involvement of our consultants with the team allows Mosaic to provide effective short term assistance to help with peak workloads and staff shortages; we are already familiar with the businesses, its procedures and people. Where appropriate one-on-one mentoring is provided

OPM3 Assessment, Consultancy and On Site Support (OPM3 Implementation)

Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3®) Assessments and Improvement 

The Project Management Institute’s OPM3 standard emphasises the value of organisational project management in the delivery of organisational strategies.  PMI, with its partner, DNV, has set up a system to conduct OPM3 assessments and to work to identify an improvement program using a robust tool, the OPM3 Product Suite.  Organisations that have conducted these improvement programs note benefits such as fewer cost and schedule overruns, improved customer and team satisfaction, and a reduction in redundant programs and projects. OPM3 Maturity Assessment.  A certified OPM3 Assessor, 
Lynda Bourne, works with your organisation to assess its project management maturity.  This assessment is scoped to meet your organisation’s unique needs.  During the assessment, the assessment team will conduct interviews and review your existing portfolio, program, and project management processes, procedures, and guidelines.  They will then analyse the data and prepare and deliver a detailed report of their findings according to the OPM3 Best Practices your organization has achieved.  The data is owned by you for your later use.

OPM3 Improvement Program.   
A certified OPM3 ConsultantLynda Bourne, will work with your organisation to develop an improvement plan focusing on the Best Practices your organisation should implement based on your priorities, their attainability, benefits, and cost.  We also can work with you to develop metrics to measure business performance improvements. 

Support to Implement Specific Best Practices.  We can continue to work with you to help your 'improvement team' to set up processes, procedures, and guidelines to quickly and effectively implement the key areas of improvement based on the OPM3 Program.
